Well, Can They???

Hello all,
I've come back to America because after five years in Japan I felt I did all I could. I survived the cold streets of Japan, LA, and Chicago (but I never woke up on one, except in Japan, twice). I survived the cops, dodged the Yakuza, and found an amazing girl named Aya who is soooo cute. In Japan, 'cute' is actually a good term to define a lady. I vaugely remember calling a girl in high school cute once and she got mad!

Well, I hope to use this blog to inform, to invent, to vent, and to communicate to anyone who wants too. I play drums (I got a vintage Camco made in Oak Lawn, a Pearl export (who doesn't have one of those who attempted drums in their life, and a radiant Premier Signia 7 pc.)). I play around Chicago in jazz clubs and rock bars. Check out www.myspace.com/elstonband for a looksie. I'm also in school to gain my teaching credential for Chicago Public High Schools. By the way, I am completely sane when it's convenient, but sometimes my wife makes me crazy with desire (usually when she cooks fish for dinner).

In order to do what I want to get done done, I have to be able to survive. There is no way around it. And if I found a way around it, I would only be cheating myself of the full value of experiences afforded to me by life. So there! Please drop comments about my hair, spelling, grammar, music, coffee, school (good and bad), CDs, movies, Japan, drinking in Japan, smoking in Japan, etc. I live around the Uptown/Ravenswood/Lincoln Square area so if you wanna piece of me, come get some. As I typed this I wore underwear, a t-shirt, a white dress shirt buttoned halfway down to reveal my t-shirt, and black socks. OH! Tonight, I'm taking Aya to the baseball game. Yeaaaaa!
